Streaming giant Netflix has announced price hikes for all its subscription tiers in the United States. According to the company's official website, the cost of its ad-supported plan will increase from $7.99 to $8.99 per month, while the standard plan will rise by $2 to $19.99 monthly.
The premium plan is now priced at $26.99 per month, up from the previous $24.99. Additionally, fees for adding extra member slots have also been adjusted. The cost for an extra member on the ad-supported plan is now $7.99, and for the ad-free plan, it is $9.99.
Netflix, which boasts over 325 million subscribers globally, discontinued its most affordable ad-free option, the basic plan, in 2023. Subscribers now have the choice of the higher-priced premium and standard plans, along with the standard plan with advertisements.
Analysts from TD Cowen project that following the implementation of these new prices, the company's average revenue per user in the U.S. and Canada will see a 6% year-over-year increase by 2026. The company's previous price adjustment occurred in early 2025.
