Wednesday, during the overnight trading session, GameStop rose 1.73%. The move followed CEO Ryan Cohen's open-market purchase of 844,130 shares, totaling about $22.8 million, disclosed in a Form 4 filing dated October 13.

Bank of America fell 1.74%. The Treasury levied $1.21 billion in penalties for anti-money-laundering and sanctions lapses, including a $750 million OCC fine and an $11.6 million OFAC settlement, after authorities said the bank failed for years to report roughly $5 billion in suspicious transactions.

The company also said third-quarter results will include a $1.2 billion non-tax-deductible charge, which it estimates will reduce net income by about 17 cents per share, and regulators characterized the violations as egregious and continued.

Among other individual movers, Semtech rose 1.34%.
