小米将在 12 月 28 日举行发布会，推出小米 12。小米集团 CEO 雷军在官方微博称，今年是小米和米粉一起走过的第 11 年，小米的成长要坚定地踏上新的台阶，即将到来的小米 12 和 MIUI 13，就是小米交给大家的答卷。
目前为止，小米已经推出不止一款高端旗舰机，从官方的宣传文案可以看出，这次小米的第三代高端产品，将以“快”和“稳”作为特点。说到高端机，苹果和三星是很有代表性的两大品牌，在另一则微博中，雷军表示，小米高端手机正式开始“对标苹果”。
小米这次也针对数字系列采取“双尺寸双高端”策略，在高端产品的产品定义上第一次与苹果、三星的顶级旗舰看齐，与 iPhone 13、Galaxy S21 系列针锋相对。
小米最新数字系列将定位新形态，大小尺寸全面对标 iPhone 13 系列。作为今年推出的新旗舰，小米 12 定位“小尺寸高端旗舰”，满血体验与配置，配合一流手感，对标 iPhone 13，小米 12 Pro 作为“全能高端旗舰”，带来极致配置和体验，对标 iPhone13 Pro Max。
