Alibaba Unveils Qwen3.7, Claiming Top Spot in China for Programming and Tool Use

Alibaba Group Vice President, Alibaba Cloud Intelligence CTO, and Alibaba Partner Zhou Jingren announced the launch of the Qwen3.7 model today at the 2026 Alibaba Cloud Summit. The new model demonstrates comprehensive enhancements across knowledge, reasoning, tool invocation, and programming capabilities.

In areas such as knowledge and logical reasoning, Qwen3.7 outperforms the latest domestic and international models, including Kimi K2.6, Zhipu GLM5.1, DeepSeek v4 Pro, and Opus4.6-Max, across multiple mainstream evaluation benchmarks, securing the top position in China.

Regarding tool invocation and programming capabilities, Qwen3.7 also comprehensively leads domestic models in various benchmark tests, approaching or even surpassing internationally leading models.
