Alibaba's Qwen App Not Alone: WeChat Also Blocks Yuanbao Red Code Copying

Deep News02-06 14:51

On February 6, Alibaba officially launched its "Spring Festival 3 Billion Free Orders" campaign. According to the Qwen official Weibo account, within five hours of the campaign's launch, the Qwen APP recorded over 5 million orders. The app also surged to the top of the free rankings on the Apple App Store.

However, within just half a day, users discovered through testing that the latest share codes for Alibaba Qwen red envelopes could no longer be copied within WeChat. This means users are unable to participate in Qwen's "Spring Festival 3 Billion Free Orders" campaign by copying the codes via WeChat.

Furthermore, tests by Sina Tech revealed that the red envelope codes from the Yuanbao App are also currently uncopyable. Specifically, when a red envelope code displays "More Information," the "Copy" option disappears when attempting a long-press on this information.

As of the time of writing, WeChat has not yet issued an official response to the matter.
