Following the launch event for the Ledo L80, Qin Lihong, co-founder and president of Nio, along with Shen Fei, senior vice president of Nio and president of Ledo Auto, engaged in a media dialogue.

When questioned about comparisons between the newly launched Li L9 and the Ledo L80, Shen Fei acknowledged Li Auto's strong sales performance, stating that Ledo is striving to learn from them and improve. However, he added, "But if you ask me to make a comparison, personally, when you mention Li Auto, what flashes through my mind are some not-so-pleasant memories. I'm not particularly fond of it."

He referenced an unpleasant incident between Li Auto and Ledo in 2025. At that time, Liu Jie, vice president of Li Auto, posted on social media with an attached comment image, subtly suggesting that Ledo had employed online trolls to smear the Li i8. Shen Fei subsequently reposted Liu's post with the comment, "I suggest calling the police directly." Later investigations by netizens traced the source of the comment, confirming it was not from trolls hired by Ledo. Shen Fei then publicly named Liu Jie on Weibo, demanding an apology to Nio and Ledo users.

"Last year, the other side claimed we were guiding users or using trolls, and I said they should just call the police. Later, I found out it wasn't like that at all, so I feel they still owe me an apology," Shen stated.

Regarding Shen Fei's comments about Li Auto, Qin Lihong emphasized that they represented Shen's personal views. Shen later clarified that his remarks about the incident being "unpleasant" and "not beautiful" were made in jest.
