BYD's property and casualty insurance subsidiary has received regulatory approval to implement the nationwide standard rates for compulsory auto insurance in three key provinces.
The National Financial Regulatory Administration has granted approval for Shenzhen BYD Property & Casualty Insurance Co., Ltd. to use the unified national compulsory traffic insurance clauses, base premium rates, and corresponding rate adjustment coefficients in the regions of Hebei, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang (excluding Ningbo).
The regulatory directive requires BYD's insurance unit to place significant emphasis on its compulsory auto insurance operations. It must strictly adhere to all regulations concerning financial accounting, cost allocation, reserve assessments, policy document and emblem management, system controls, and information disclosure for this business line. The company is also instructed to strengthen risk management, enhance service quality, and effectively safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of policyholders and victims of traffic accidents.
