This is going to be great. About the $ 3K machines, companies might save a lot of money that they could spend on the cloud if they could test stuff on their local laptops/desktops. They probably will save more money than they would spend on buying those machines with Nvidia chips. I like it.

  All computers and technology in general get cheaper and smaller everyday.
  Give them a few years and it will be 1k and it will be controlling your dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, fridge and robot vacuum, all from a small hub in your living room.
  First computers made by IBM needed the whole floor of a building, less than 10 years later they could be on top of your desk and they were way better than the first one.

The millions of trips that Uber handles daily will provide a trove of data for training AI models.Mass-market carmakers are going to shift toward using one computer and operating system for their entire model lineup, rather that segmenting systems by the class of vehicle, Nvidia said.
