Eli Lilly Hits Record High as Its New Leukemia Drug Wins EU Approval

Eli Lilly jumped more than 6%, hitting an all-time high. The Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (CHMP) of the European Medicines Agency (EMA) has recommended approval for Jaypirca, Eli Lilly’s non-covalent Bruton’s Tyrosine Kinase (BTK) inhibitor. The drug is indicated for adult patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), regardless of prior treatment with BTK inhibitors.
