BYD and Geely Among Final Bidders for Nissan-Mercedes Mexican Auto Plant

Sources revealed on the evening of February 12 Beijing time that BYD Company Limited and Geely Automobile Holdings Ltd. are among the final contenders bidding for a Nissan-Mercedes joint venture automotive factory in Mexico.

A third finalist is Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast.

Other companies that had previously expressed interest include Chery and Great Wall Motor.

BYD, Geely, Chery, Great Wall Motor, and VinFast have all declined to comment.
