Sector Update: Financial Stocks Lean Lower Pre-Bell Monday

Financial stocks were leaning lower pre-bell Monday, with The Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) down 0.2%.

The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares (FAS) was down 0.4% and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ) was 0.7% higher.

SoFi Technologies (SOFI) shares were down more than 9% after the company issued Q1 and fiscal 2025 guidance for earnings that trailed analyst expectations.

Brookfield Asset Management (BAM) has finalized two real-estate investments in Japan worth $1.60 billion, multiple media outlets reported, citing the investment firm. Brookfield Asset Management shares were down 0.9% premarket.

Hope Bancorp (HOPE) shares were up more than 2% even after the company reported lower Q4 non-GAAP earnings and revenue.
