Roblox (RBLX) co-founder and Chief Executive David Baszucki is among a group of investors that has secured more than $20 billion to acquire TikTok from China's ByteDance, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing tech entrepreneur Jesse Tinsley.
The report said the group of US investors includes YouTube star Jimmy Donaldson, also known as MrBeast, and Anchorage Digital Chief Executive Nathan McCauley.
Tinsley has not been in direct contact with ByteDance, which maintains TikTok and its US business are not for sale, the report said.
ByteDance, Roblox, MrBeast, and Anchorage Digital did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
