What's in the U.S.-U.K. Trade Deal Framework? -- WSJ

Here are some highlights that the U.S. and U.K. highlighted in the respective fact sheets that the countries provided Thursday:

-- Creates a $5 billion opportunity for new exports for U.S. farmers, ranchers, and producers," including more than $700 million in ethanol exports and $250 million in other agricultural products, like beef.

-- The U.S. agreed to lower automobile tariffs for the first 100,000 vehicles imported into the U.S. by the U.K. to 10%. Any additional vehicles each year are subject to 25% rates. This includes luxury cars such as Bentley and Jaguar Land Rover.

-- The baseline tariff rate of 10% remains in effect.

-- The White House said the deal creates a new trading union for steel and aluminum. The U.K.'s fact sheet said that steel will no longer face tariffs because of the deal.

-- The U.K. will also remove the tariff on ethanol coming into the U.K. from the U.S., down to zero.
