Vistra (VST) said late Monday it priced a $2.25 billion private offering of senior secured notes.
The offering comprises $1 billion of 4.7% notes due 2031 priced at 99.954% of face value and $1.25 billion of 5.350% notes due 2036 at 99.745%.
The company said it expects the offering to close Jan. 22 and plans to use the proceeds to help fund its acquisition of Cogentrix Energy, among other things.
Vistra shares were up 2% in recent premarket activity Tuesday.
