Chinese OEMs slashing their handset forecast forced the company to guide down fiscal second-quarter handset revenues to $6 billion, the \"lowest quarterly handset revenue for Qualcomm in 10 quarters,\" he further wrote.\nJPMorgan: Strong sell-through in handsets drove Qualcomm Technology Licensing (QTL) revenues and margins above expectations, Chatterjee said. Management indicated \"acute headwind facing the broader smartphone industry as memory manufacturers are increasingly shifting capacity towards HBM to meet surging AI datacenter demand.\"\nThis resulted in constrained DRAM availability for consumer end-markets as well as for the smartphone industry, the analyst stated. These supply constraints forced China-based OEMs to adjust builds, triggering Qualcomm to guide to fiscal second quarter handset revenues well below consensus.\nBofA Securities: Qualcomm is facing \"cyclical and structural weakness in handsets,\" Liani said in the note.
