Oil prices moved back above $100 a barrel late Monday following an earlier slide prompted by comments from President Trump that he was postponing strikes on Iranian energy infrastructure and engaging in talks with Iran.
Brent crude, the international benchmark, traded at $103.71 after dipping as low as $97 in earlier Monday trading. The move higher came after Iran denied talks with the U.S. and fighting persisted in the Middle East. Israel, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia all said they were targeted by missile or drone attacks.
