Crawford & Co. appointed interim President and Chief Executive W. Bruce Swain Jr. as its permanent CEO.

Swain has worked at the claims-management and outsourcing-solutions provider for more than three decades, and served as chief financial officer for 19 years before becoming interim CEO in January.

He was appointed interim CEO after Rohit Verma left the company in November to pursue another opportunity.

The company also said Jesse Crawford Sr., majority shareholder and the son of founder Jim Crawford, wouldn't seek reelection to the board of directors at the next shareholder meeting in May.
