President Trump said Iran wants to settle the war, telling an audience Monday that "this time, they mean business" because of what the U.S. military has accomplished.

"They want to settle, and we're going to get it done, I hope," he said at an event about security in Memphis, Tenn. "Now Iran is one more opportunity to end its threats to America and our allies, and we hope they take it."

Trump added that discussions with Iran began Saturday. "They started last night, a little bit, the night before that," he said.
