President Trump's surprise announcement that the U.S. was postponing threatened attacks on Iranian power plants after "productive" talks with Tehran unleashed a rapid reshuffling in the stock market. Winners and losers included:
-- Airline stocks jumped. American Airlines, Delta Airlines and United Continental gained between 3.5% to 4.5% ahead of the opening bell.
-- Cruise lines were another winner. Carnival rose about 3.9%.
-- Tech stocks posted more modest gains. Nvidia was up about 2% in recent trading, leading the Magnificent Seven.
-- Energy stocks retreated. Occidental Petroleum fell about 2.8%.
-- Fertilizer companies tumbled. CF Industries was down 4.7% in premarket trading. Its shares had benefited in recent weeks from the cutoff in Middle East exports of nitrogen fertilizers.
