Khen Energy (SGX:YSV) secured a second battery energy storage system project in Sri Lanka from National System Operator, according to a Monday filing with the Singapore Exchange.
The project, secured by the company's subsidiary, WKV Hydro Technics, is to build, own and operate a standalone storage system with a total capacity of 10 megawatts per 40 megawatt hours.
The latest contract is part of the company's strategy to expand its portfolio in energy transition opportunities.
Shares of the renewable energy company sank over 7% in Monday trading.
