Lyft rolled out a bundle of cash-back perks for its drivers to offset the rising cost of gas.

The ride-hailing company said Wednesday it would give 2% cash back for its Elite-tier drivers and 1% back for Gold- and Platinum-tier drivers when they use a Lyft Direct business debit card to pay for gas.

Those rewards will be on top of the existing cash-back percentages drivers get. Elite tiered members are already getting 10%, while Platinum receive 7% back and Gold get 3% back.

Drivers will also get an additional 14 cents per gallon back through Lyft's partnership with Upside, which gives cash back on gas when drivers pay with a physical card.

"Drivers are feeling the cost of rising gas prices, which ultimately impacts their earnings," said Yuko Yamazaki, who leads Lyft's driver business.

DoorDash announced a similar program on Monday, offering 10% cash back on every qualifying gas purchase.

Gas prices in the U.S. have jumped since the conflict in Iran began in late February.
