Energy Up With Oil Futures -- Energy Roundup

Dow Jones03-25

Shares of energy companies rose alongside oil futures, despite an optimistic outlook for peace negotiations from President Trump.

Oil futures rose 4.8% to $92.35 a barrel in New York. Globally traded Brent crude rose 4.6% to $104.49 a barrel. Analysts said an oil spike will continue until such time as tankers flow en masse through the Strait of Hormuz once more.

U.S. allies in the Persian Gulf such as Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are inching toward joining the fight against Iran, getting tougher following persistent attacks that disrupted their economies.
