A woman was killed in northern Israel by a rocket fired by Hezbollah in Lebanon, Israeli emergency and military officials said Tuesday.
The 27-year-old woman had suffered severe trauma, police and emergency crews reported, and was pronounced dead on scene. Other medical teams reported providing treatment to two people with minor shrapnel injuries.
The woman had stopped her car and taken shelter on the other side of a guardrail when the rocket struck nearby, according to preliminary police investigation.
Two Israeli soldiers have been killed in Lebanon, and one man was killed in northern Israel on Sunday by errant artillery fire by the Israeli military on the northern border, according to the Israeli military.
