President Trump said Iranians were "talking sense," and that is why he pivoted to possible negotiations.

"They'd like to make a deal," Trump said in remarks to reporters. He said special envoys Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff were being aided in talks by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Vice President JD Vance and others.

Trump also boasted of the U.S. military advantage over Iran. "If you read the papers, you'd think we're in a tough battle," he said. "We are roaming free over Tehran."
