Israel's military estimates that Hezbollah currently has between 11,000 and 13,000 missiles and rockets in its arsenal, a sharp reduction from what it was believed to possess just a few years ago, an Israeli military official told The Wall Street Journal.

The official said the figure represents about one sixth of what the group had before Oct. 7, 2023, when a Hamas-led attack on Israel triggered a years-long, multifront conflict that left Hezbollah significantly weakened. That aligns with an assessment by the Alma Center, an Israeli security think tank, which said the group had an estimated 75,000 missiles and rockets before that time, and 25,000 on the eve of the current conflict.
