French President Emmanuel Macron said he had spoken again with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian. Macron said he called on Iran to negotiate in good faith, reopen the Strait of Hormuz and stop attacks on Gulf countries. Macron said on March 15 that he had spoken with Pezeshkian, outlining similar concerns.
The French president also said that he had spoken with Israeli President Isaac Herzog to express solidarity and urge him to de-escalate the conflict in Lebanon.
