March 26 (Reuters) - Wall Street's main indexes dropped on Thursday following gains in the previous session, as conflicting signals from the U.S. and Iran on the prospects of a de-escalation in the Middle East kept investors on edge. .N

At 13:31 EDT, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was down 0.87% at 46,027.06. The S&P 500 .SPX was down 1.23% at 6,510.95, and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC was down 1.67% at 21,564.34.
