Teledyne Technologies' (TDY) Teledyne Marine said Tuesday it has received a contract from the UK Ministry of Defense to supply autonomous gliders and floats to support the Royal Navy's oceanographic data collection program.

The company said it will deliver Sentinel and Slocum gliders, APEX floats, and related services.

The contract strengthens the Royal Navy's use of unmanned technologies for long-duration data gathering in complex and remote maritime environments, Teledyne said.
