Tencent Holdings (HKG:0700) acquired 6 million American depositary shares in Kaspi.kz JSC, marking its first investment in Kazakhstan's fintech sector, according to a statement Monday.
Tencent acquired the shares, which represent 3.2% of the business, from Baring Fintech Venture Funds.
