New York-listed China Yuchai International unveiled an internal combustion engine powered entirely by ammonia and designed for heavy‑duty commercial vehicles, parent Hong Leong Asia (SGX:H22) said in a Thursday filing with the Singapore Exchange.
Developed by operating subsidiary Guangxi Yuchai Machinery, the engine aims to provide a zero-carbon power solution for heavy-duty, long-haul commercial transport.
Shares of Hong Leong fell almost 6% in midday trade on Friday.
