Singapore's state investment firm, Temasek, is looking to invest in South Korea listed, SK Hynix (KRX:000660) and Samsung Electronics (KRX:005930), Asia Business Daily reported Tuesday, citing relevant ministries and authorities.

Temasek has reportedly been in touch with the Korean government with regards to the investments, which will be made directly via the fund's in-house team, the report said.

Based on the report, Temasek considers the memory chip sector within the AI value chain as an undervalued sector.

SK Hynix and Samsung Electronics did not immediately respond to MT Newswires request for a comment.
