Palo Alto Networks (PANW) chief executive officer Nikesh Arora explored acquiring Datadog (DDOG) and Okta (OKTA) over the past 18 months, as he has looked to expand the cybersecurity company's products to handle new AI threats, The Information reported Wednesday, citing two people with knowledge of the situation.
After those potential deals fell through, Palo Alto bought Okta competitor CyberArk for $25 billion in February and Datadog competitor Chronosphere for $3.35 billion in January, the report said.
Palo Alto Networks didn't immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
