On October 7, U.S. President Donald Trump announced on social media platform X that he fully endorses Representative Tom Tiffany to be the next governor of Wisconsin and approved $17.9 million in funding for severe storms and tornadoes that have hit the state.
In his post, Trump wrote: "I just spoke with Tom Tiffany, who has my Complete and Total Endorsement to be the next Governor of the Great State of Wisconsin." He added, "I told Tom that I will be approving 17.9 Million Dollars for the Severe Storms and Tornadoes that Wisconsin has experienced." Trump described the people as "tough and smart" and said they "will come back stronger than ever," adding that the $18 million "should help, A LOT."
The president concluded the message with personal affection: "See you soon Wisconsin — I LOVE YOU ALL!"
Tom Tiffany has served as the U.S. Representative for Wisconsin's 7th congressional district since 2020. The state has experienced multiple severe storms and tornadoes in 2024, causing casualties and property damage.
