President Donald Trump announced on social media platform X on October 6 that he is endorsing State Representative Johnny Garrett for the U.S. House seat in Tennessee's 6th Congressional District. Trump described Garrett as a "Highly Respected State Representative" and a "Seventh-Generation Goodlettsvillian and Proven Conservative Leader."

Garrett has served as a State Representative since 2019, championing Trump's "America First" policies. In his endorsement, Trump outlined Garrett's commitments to grow the economy, promote farmers and ranchers, cut taxes and regulations, unleash American energy dominance, champion "Made in the U.S.A.," secure the border, stop migrant crime, strengthen the military and veterans, and defend the Second Amendment.

Trump concluded: "Johnny Garrett has my Complete and Total Endorsement to be the next Representative from Tennessee’s 6th Congressional District — HE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!"
