Netflix (NFLX) sentiment is expected to improve following a challenging nine months, with price increases, higher advertising rates and a stronger content lineup set to support revenue growth, Oppenheimer said in a Wednesday note.
The analyst expects revenue growth to accelerate as US and UK price increases and higher advertising rates take effect, with the benefits building through the fourth quarter and into 2027 as ad rates move closer to industry peers.
Netflix's content quality is improving, Oppenheimer said, with Q3 hours per top-10 title up 9% sequentially. Its 2027 lineup includes 36 sequels and 55 non-sequel releases and events, up from 31 and 36, respectively, a year earlier. The lineup includes "Wednesday," "Bridgerton" and the Women's World Cup.
The brokerage kept its 2027 revenue forecast unchanged but cut its operating income and EPS estimates by 1% and 2%, respectively. Netflix's planned 1,000 job cuts could free up funds for content and marketing or support higher margins.
Oppenheimer maintained its outperform rating on the stock with a price target of $85.
Netflix shares were up 2.4% in Thursday trading.
