I found myself a bit addicted to using Pinduoduo recently, and I reflected on it for a while. When using Taobao and JD.com, I can feel a clear sense of alienation: 'I'm spending money to buy things,' and after buying, I feel like 'Oh, I'm spending money again'.

But when I use Pinduoduo at sunset, it may be that the things pushed up by Pinduoduo are relatively cheap, which makes me feel better when I buy more, not to mention alienation. Is this UI design and product recommendation more addictive for me? $JD.com(JD)$

Interesting reflection! I totally get what you mean — platforms like Pinduoduo seem to gamify the shopping experience a lot more, making it feel less like spending and more like “unlocking deals.” Their group buying, low prices, and playful UI really do reduce the psychological barrier to purchase.

It’s fascinating how design and pricing strategy can influence our emotions and habits. Definitely something worth being mindful of — even as we enjoy the bargains!
