Zero Day Options (0DTE) now account for half of the total $S&P 500(.SPX)$ options volume.

Zero-day expiration (0DTE) options, also known as same-day expiration options, are options contracts that expire on the same day they are traded.  

This concept has been expanded: options expiring that week can also be counted as 0DTE.

    I have not tried a 0DTE due to the fact that the puts I have had get closed on the last day before the day is near its end. I wished to close later in the session.  these where not leveraged puts so the losses are only mine. if I do buy a 0DTE how long will I get before it's automatically closed??
