Brian Niccol, set to lead $Starbucks(SBUX)$ on 9 Sept is not required to relocate to the company’s headquarters. Instead, he will be commuting 1,600km from his family home to the firm's HQ on a corporate jet.

Starbucks will establish a small remote office in Newport Beach for him to use when working from California.

Niccol's annual base pay will be RM7 million. Performance bonuses can go up to as much as RM31 million.
