On the morning of December 29, Jeju Air flight 7C2216 from Bangkok, Thailand, skidded off the runway and crashed into a wall upon landing. The accident resulted in 179 fatalities, with only 2 survivors. The aircraft was a Boeing 737-800. In the wake of the major accident, Boeing's stock dropped by about 4% in after-hours trading.
