Seriously! Market stupidity really knows no bounds. In pre market trading as I speak $NVIDIA(NVDA)$ is down to just under $113. Certain commentators that I trust have already identified that the whole deepseek cost structure to develop their language AI platform is total nonsense because they are excluding so many of the costs to deliver it. One simple example is they say they are recruiting people fresh out of university and paying them up to $1.3 million each, yet the AI platform only cost $10 million to build???? You can drive not a bus... probably the Star Wars death start through deepseeks news realise. It's just total rubbish. Yet stupid people believe nonsense. And main stream media lives off possible fear, virtually never recants the false information they report, rather they just move on to the next story with no regard for the truth. Investigative journalism is dead. Sensationalism, reporting falsehoods to get advertising dollars is the only driver. Total sheep, the blind leading the blind!

Sadly reality is boring, as is the truth. And today, it's all about trade wars. Come on! This was one of trump's key election campaign issues. Plenty of debate on the pros and cons. But the reality is Trump is doing exactly what he said he would. But somehow now we are expected to believe that "the market" didn't expect trump to actually do it... utter horse shit!

Apologies if I'm being a little expletive here, but human nature never ceases to confirm my total lack of belief in it. Our stupidity has no bounds. 

So what to do? First up, understand the utter nonsense for what it is. A virtual panic that provides yummie buying opportunities. It is not a panic based on facts, it's a panic based on propaganda. Will it be a ruff week on the market? Of course. But a number of huge stocks are reporting earnings this week and that will provide actual facts on performance and expectations going forward. 

Will the US economy collapse tomorrow? No. Will Nvidias chip sales plummet this year? I'd say they will have a record year. Is a trade war going to actually eventuate? Ok let me be a little synical... Canada, stop sending all your maple syrup to the USA, send it to me in New Zealand, and your bacon. In return you can come to New Zealand and shoot all the Canadian geese you want, cause they migrate here. Noisy, not at all polite like the Canadian people I have met, but they do reduce our need for aircraft that spread fertiliser on our farms, a lot. 

Let's not go silly and overreact to the constant fake news. Just analyse it for what it is, and invest in real opportunities. My fav stock is $Rocket Lab USA, Inc.(RKLB)$ down $3 in pre market trading so far... why? No Tarif issues, no AI issues, no reason to drop, it should be up based on today's CEO interview. Trading at $26 it's a bargain, but my average cost is $4 and change. So no, personally I will more likely sell puts, maybe buy calls if the price is right. Will do the same on $SoFi Technologies Inc.(SOFI)$. And buy more $NVIDIA(NVDA)$.
