$Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ i think the tesla hate will continue to gain momentum. Sales will continue to plummet over the next few months. Am i selling puts? No. Because true zealots are still holding out for self driving and robots.
For me there are just too many balls in the air. I believe the stock is seriously overvalued and now has massive headwinds. But to many have invested too much to let it go down. Personally, I would not buy it at $40 per share. Nor would i buy ford or any other US vehicle manufacturer. Trump has blatantly lied about the impact of tariffs on the US economy. China, canada and mexico don't pay, US consumers pay.
Yes the American economy is massive, and other countries could replace supply, but would they even consider this when trump has stabbed his closest allies in the back? No, as long as trump remains, everyone else is pretty much not saying what they think. Let America be great again, and lets see how that works out. I love most Americans, spent alot of time there, but trump is a huge problem. Americans are devided, some listen to his blatant lies and follow, the other half point out the lies and are shocked how anyone could believe him.
But lets get past this, and focus on the US stock market. Its a reality TV show for the next few years, full of utter nonsense just designed to entertain but not make anything better. Im out. Because i want to make my life better, and this circus is not doing that.
I have been selling down American stocks big time. All the ones i think are amazing. I will maintain tiny positions in them, but essentially im out until America wakes up. Guys, a World Series is not just you. You cannot call a baseball game a world series when it doesn't involve any other country.
what is going on is kinda like a reality tv show about survival on a tropical island, you need certain skills. procuring drinkable water, hunting for food, and building decent shelter. Oh and fire. Can Americans do this On there own? Well yes some can, but most can't. Maybe 1% can, in other countries maybe 20% can. Way easier to support the 80% that can't, versus the 99% that can't.
My point is simple, making America great again relies on Americans having all the skills to do everything better than everyone else. Thats not a realistic prospect in my opinion, because many other countries do somethings way better. Strength comes from diversity, not isolation.
