$Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ Ok ill try to be more constructive on tesla today. If you know me im a tesla bear. Elon tried to pump the stock with his new car sales yard open for business, formally called "the whitehouse". And of course his new head of car sales... Donald Trump. But to be fair if Elon contributed reportably $300 mil to my coffers, I'd ignore USA presidential potential interest conflicts and tell everyone how great Elon is and how amazing tesla cars are too. even though im on record saying electric cars are shite, oh the irony!

Then in other Elon news, well hes going to double tesla production, super stuff. But wait, tesla sales are tanking, due to Things elon is doing predominantly. Plus competition is taking serious market share from tesla. because the other electric car companies make a better product. so is doubling production a great announcement?

But there is the reason i have not placed a bet on tesla to loose. Too many fan boys out there still. Predictions on whether tesla will go up or down. Well its just not predictable. So its just not a good investment in my mind, love it or hate it. I will predict that tesla sales will keep tanking worldwide but that won't be enough. The fan boys will still pump it. Cause its about The promise of autonomous driving and robots.

But, lets take the self driving. Since 2014 and every year since then, hes  on record  saying it will happen next week, next month or next year. um ten years on and its still not happening. He is even on record saying if tesla can't sort out the self driving the stock will plummet. Fan boys take heed. Tesla relies on cameras for self driving. Other companies that are already having success, rely on lasers. Him, no biggie right? Actually its a huge issue. I have been reviewing some pretty conclusive experiments recently that raise massive concerns for me. while lasers can see though fog, rain and snow, cameras can't. They also don't distinguish between a painting of a road on a wall, vs an actual wall. basically with lazer tech, the car breaks even if visability is poor. With a tesla, the cameras cant see and don't break. This says to me that teslas have a fundamental flaw. But hey, if you set up a department of government efficiency and fire all the people who would investigate this issue, well... ok fine.

The major retirement funds have billions invested in tesla. If tesla goes to zero it doesn't really impact on them. It impacts the millions of people that have money in those retirement funds.

10+ years of over promise and under delivery, when will people wake up. Is tesla going to $200? Yep, even after a drop of 50% in recent months tesla still has an insane P/E compared to its peers. Right now, if you look at the puts, betting on tesla tanking... its very clear. Tesla to $150? Well if you compare it to ford, toyota, actually most other auto companies. A reasonable valuation for tesla is $80. The tesla execs know it, all dumping stock. 

I hope you find this post constructive. Im bias obviously. But i hate dishonesty, and i truely believe elon is dishonest, maybe its just the drugs he's allegedly on. 

Fun fact, i have rewritten this article 3 times now.  This is the tamed down version. Not sure i will post this version either. Because well its too opinionated. Actually i will post, but not tag anyone so it won't get viewed. Let's see where that goes.
