Options Market Statistics: Tesla Loses Lead in California as Registrations Dip 15%
$Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ stock fell almost 5% on Wednesday. The most traded puts are contracts of $240 strike price that expire on Apr 17 and the total volume reaching 115,131 with the open interest of 16,331.
Fewer people in California bought Teslas in the first quarter, with registrations dropping 15%. This happened as more people in the state turned against the company and its CEO, Elon Musk.
Because of this drop, Tesla no longer has the biggest share of the electric car market in California, a state known for strongly supporting EVs.
There was a noteworthy activity in $C3.ai, Inc.(AI)$ , with $21.5 calls topping the highest volume to open interest ranking. The highest volume over open interest ratio reaches 100.5x with 12,757 contracts.
