interesting 🤔 this could be the Uber of tomorrow...
just imagine skipping all the traffic while you fly back home from work... 🤯
good to read that they are actually investing in testing and infrastructure 🙂
I hope that they can manage to offer a competitive and safe product.
something that I always question is if companies should give an aircraft to some people, I'm disappointed with some drivers skills these days... 🤔
@Barcode$Joby Aviation, Inc.(JOBY)$ 🚁🔥🟢 Rotor Ready: Joby’s Flight Plan Could Outpace Wall Street’s Wildest Dreams 🟢🔥🚁 At $6.71, Joby Aviation ($JOBY) isn’t chasing headlines. It’s executing in stealth mode while building a future that’s already in motion. Traders may be fixated on the -25.95% quarterly decline, but beneath the surface, Joby has completed 13 flights in 22 days, logged six test flights in a 24-hour window, and confirmed airborne radar activity from its latest prototype, N545JX. Most stocks pitch potential. Joby is flying it, literally! 🛠️ The Hidden Moat: Scaling While Others Stagnate Urban air mobility isn’t constrained by demand, it’s throttled by supply. Joby is engineering the solution. • Marina, CA: 120k sqft existing with a 220k sqft expansion near completion • Dayton, OH: 200k sqft active, 140 acres pre-cleared for expansion • Combined target: 525 aircraft annually While competitors remain grounded in prototyping, Joby is laying infrastructure to monopolise capacity. ✈️ Why This Earnings Report Could Be a Turning Point Q2 earnings land 7May25. The surface-level numbers appear discouraging: • EPS forecast: -0.71 • EBIT: -$622.18M • Gross Income: $15.86M • Options flow: 2,073 call contracts sold on the $6.00 strike Yet beneath the red ink lies strategic discipline: • Quick Ratio: 19.42, indicating robust liquidity • Gross Margin (Q2 2024): 46.43%, showcasing underlying unit strength • Net Assets per Share: $1.25 This isn’t a cash burn spiral. It’s calculated investment in scale. And if Joby signals progress on certification or Dubai deployment, the market’s low bar could turn into a launchpad. 📈 Technical Positioning: A Coiled Spring • Price: $6.71 (04May25 🇳🇿NZ Time) • Support: $6.37, then $6.00 • Resistance: $6.72 • 30-week MA: $7.03 • RSI(6): 54.34, rising with momentum • MACD: Flattening, eyeing crossover A clean break above $6.72 brings $7.03 into view, with $8.50 from July 2024 next in line. ♻️ Sustainability by Design Joby has recycled 60,000 lbs of production waste and partnered with Redwood Materials to process 1,000 lbs of lithium batteries. ESG credibility is built-in, not bolted on, positioning the company for institutional inflows. 🧠 Operational Refinement Joby is now taxiing aircraft from hangar to runway, replicating commercial readiness. Recent tests at Edwards AFB demonstrated remote landings with only four of six motors, proving their redundancy system under stress. Multiple pilots have successfully completed transitions from hover to wingborne and back. 🌍 Dubai: The Global Catalyst 🇦🇪 Regulatory engagement from the UAE is intensifying. Executive Bonny has confirmed that a Joby aircraft will be operational in Dubai this summer. This could be the beginning of international adoption at scale, starting in one of the world’s most innovation-driven urban markets. 📈 Quality Growth Trajectory Joby is forecast to increase revenue at more than 20% year-over-year for the next two years. This isn’t speculative growth, it’s structurally backed by testing cadence, regulatory alignment, and manufacturing expansion. For long-view traders, $JOBY is arguably one of the most mispriced high-growth equities in the sector. And for those tracking asymmetric upside… $JOBY – 888%. That’s not an exaggeration! That’s historical precedent and forward optionality converging. 📊 Analyst Ratings 🟢 4 Buy 🟡 3 Hold 🔴 2 Underperform EPS projections into 2027 show steady narrowing of losses. But the real upside won’t come from forecasts, it will come from certified flight paths and fleet execution. 🔭 What to Watch • Earnings beat or certification update on 7May25 • MACD and RSI confirmation for a technical breakout • Q3 rate cut implications for growth multiples • Supply chain and delivery cadence as a trigger for institutional revaluation This isn’t recycled newsfeed chatter. It’s a high-conviction thesis on the aerial infrastructure of tomorrow. In a sector Morgan Stanley pegs at $1.5 trillion by 2040, Joby isn’t just participating, it’s leading! 📢 Don’t miss out! As for your concern about piloting standards, I think that’s where the long game converges with autonomy. Initially, we’ll see certified commercial pilots at the controls. But the roadmap clearly includes autonomous operation in tightly geofenced air corridors, essentially air highways. In that sense, Joby’s safety stack could end up surpassing road-based transport altogether. It’s not about putting wings on every driver, it’s about taking the human error out of the cockpit entirely.

That’s exactly why Joby’s autonomous vision is so critical. By embedding safety into the tech stack itself, automated flight paths, vertical geofencing, real-time diagnostics, they are effectively eliminating the weakest link: human error.

Totally agree, Mig. If YouTube has taught us anything, it’s that some people shouldn’t even operate a shopping trolley, let alone an aircraft!

      autonomous vehicles 🤞that's a relief 🙂
I'm always watching those bad drivers on YouTube videos... don't want to see bad pilots ones 🤪

Brilliant point, Mig. The Uber analogy is spot on, Joby’s endgame isn’t just about point-to-point convenience, it’s about re-architecting urban transport networks entirely. The fact they’re investing so heavily in testing, redundancy (e.g. landing with 4 of 6 motors), and manufacturing capacity suggests they’re not treating this as a moonshot, but as regulated, scalable infrastructure.
