1. "We may be ushering in the biggest boom in nuclear energy in nearly 50 years."
The first 100 days of Trump's second term have passed, and his administration seems to be prioritizing nuclear power...
Last Friday, US President Trump signed a series of executive orders aimed at relaxing regulations on nuclear energy and accelerating nuclear power construction. The executive order requires the US Department of Energy to build 10 large reactors by 2030 while upgrading existing reactors.

In April this year, the US Department of Energy promised to provide uranium to five nuclear power companies to meet their near-term fuel needs.
In March this year, the US Department of Energy pledged to provide up to $900 million in funding to support the research and development of next-generation nuclear reactors.
The International Energy Agency, one of the world's top international energy policy advisory agencies, the agency expects nuclear power generation to hit a record high in 2025 and also made a bold call in January 2025:
Clean energy will meet all additional global electricity demand in the next three years.
The nuclear energy market may see big development this year. Rick Perry, an expert on US energy policy, was the governor of Texas and witnessed the boom of fossil fuels and renewable energy during his tenure. He also served as Secretary of Energy during President Donald Trump's first term.
Rick said that we may be ushering in the biggest nuclear energy boom in the past 50 years.
2. Tech giants have no choice but to invest in nuclear energy.
As of 2025, $Amazon.com(AMZN)$ , $Alphabet(GOOG)$ and $Microsoft(MSFT)$ have invested billions of dollars in "small modular reactors" ("SMR") for their warehouses and data centers. Small modular reactors (SMR) are nuclear reactors reduced to a smaller scale. They are designed in factories, then shipped to buildings and businesses and provide electricity for on-site operations.
Amazon directly participated in an investment of about $500 million in X-energy. In cooperation with EnergyNorthwest, it invested in the development of multiple SMRs and is expected to start supplying power in the early 2030s. In addition, Amazon has purchased a data center that is directly powered by a nuclear power plant.
Alphabet has signed an agreement with Kairos Power to purchase multiple SMR power generation from 2030. Under the agreement reached in October 2024, Alphabet will purchase electricity generated by seven reactors built by Kairos, with the goal of adding 500 megawatts of nuclear power projects by 2035.
Microsoft has signed the largest power purchase agreement in history with $Oklo Inc.(OKLO)$ , aiming to restart the long-closed Three Mile Island nuclear power plant and provide clean energy for Microsoft's cloud computing and AI projects. Microsoft is also publicly recruiting experts in the field of nuclear energy to actively promote its SMR strategy. In addition, Microsoft has partnered with TerraPower to explore advanced sodium-cooled fast reactor technology.
Investing in nuclear power is the only way to meet the needs of artificial intelligence, and these technology companies cannot fall behind. First it was operating systems... then graphics processors... then server space... and now clean and efficient energy.
This trend should boost nuclear power companies such as, and broad-based nuclear power funds such as, should also benefit from it.
