Option Strategies: Wait for the ER of TSLA!

Selling For Premium
07-23

Hello everyone! Today i want to share some option strategies with you!

1.

$Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ releases earnings after the closing bell Wednesday. Expected move is ~7%.

Got the following positions heading into earnings. Here is our #Optionselling game plan for tomorrow.

1. Hold the Aug 15 $285 naked puts.

2. Hold the Aug 15 $300 cash-secured put (CSP), but am tempted to roll to the July 25 expiry $325 strike.

3. Roll the Jan 16 2026 $300 CSP to the Aug 15 $355 strike (thus creating a synthetic long).

4. Will hold one of the Jun 17 2027 $600 naked calls, but am debating what to do with the other three calls. Am leaning towards taking them off the table for tomorrow and then re-writing post-earnings.

5. Hold the Jan 15 2027 $230 CSPs.

280 is a demand zone support level and there is room to run if price breaks and holds above 360. The 200EMA is around 300 with the 200MA closer to 318.

2.

Will be looking for a post-earnings 🚀 from $Alphabet(GOOGL)$ 🤞🏽🙏🏽 ... please revisit that ATH.

Got shares and LEAP calls. Might write a few cash-secured puts at the 165 put strike, July 25 or Aug 1 expiry. Lots of volume support between 165 and current price.

Expected move for earnings is 5.5%, so 165 would be 2X the expected move.
