$Plug Power(PLUG)$ hydrogen production and storage is one of the missing chess piece in today's excessive investment into renewable energy. Spain and Germany is the exact scenario where over reliant on renewable energy can introduce transient supply dip or spike to power transmission voltages. And these could unintentionally trips the power grid leading to cascading black out through out the system. Hydrogen and battery play the safety buffer to convert excess energy into stored capacity and the later to buffer when production from renewable dips.
