I have extracted the last line of the article here, and I quote, "It feels odd, but no or low capital return seems to have become an advantage for some defense stocks now."

Does that tell you something about the state of our investment now? Strange it might appear to be, but with Trump disrupting the old world 🌍 order, what is new? 

Government and commercial decisions can never be the same, since both parties have different agenda. With government interfering with business, the approach normally doesn't have a good outcome. Donald Trump's interference could only be worse than any other government, including those of communist China. Trump works on favouritism. Trust or the lack of it has always accompanied his every decision. Many of his actions have so far favoured his family and friends. Think cryptocurrency and Trump's coin and various crypto projects started by his two sons. 

This is a particularly interesting piece to share. Defense is an even hotter topic with the "invasion" of Venezuela and robbing of its oil. I seriously can't differentiate between a daylight robbery with the current state of USA. Obviously, defense is at the forefront of Trump's interest. It helps to fulfill his bullying antics.

With market distortion announcement, the usual investment rulebook has been thrown out of the window 🪟! This is how Trump manipulates market. I won't be surprised many of his cronies were positioned to benefit. 

Either you go with the flow to identify the next sector or companies to benefit from this kind of disruption (which is difficult) or continue to bet that conventional investment wisdom still applies.

For me, I do what I usually do. I look at Trump's past actions and interests and positioned accordingly to those under-appreciated companies within the sector. Think defense, Greenland, high tech. What's the common theme here? Critical minerals including silver and copper!!! [Surprised]  [Duh]  [Silence]  

I can't really predict what Trump does. I simply accumulate what I can in the sector... and wait.
