iPhone Duo Debuts — Can Apple's New Lineup Lift the Stock?
Apple slipped 0.28%, market cap closing on $5tn, as the iPhone 18 line debuted at John Ternus's first event on the 2nm A20 Pro. The 18 Pro starts at $1,199 and the Pro Max at $1,299; the first foldable, iPhone Duo, opens at $1,999 — the thinnest iPhone yet. Reports had pointed to $2,400, so it lands $400 below, and with the standard 18 possibly pushed to 2027, Apple has deliberately lowered the premium entry point. Bulls say the lower price carries the upgrade cycle; bears say that $400 gets absorbed somewhere in the supply chain. Buy on the upgrade cycle, or wait for first-week supply data?
