Just my thought outside the box. Since road tax of EVs to which electricity is a part of the equation I stead of petrol or diesel, why 'tax' the EV owners extra for non usage of mineral fuel when they are directly subject to the electricity price. Isn't it fairer to treat electricity and mineral fuel expenses (or revenue for the providers) as 2 separate distinct fuels and subject all to the same tax regime based on kW capacity? Can the authority enlighten us?
